Andrej Draksler graduated from Geography at the Faculty of Arts in 2014 and received the Prešeren award for students for his bachelor's degree in spatial planning in river basins. He works at the Department of Remote Sensing of the Institute of Anthropological and Spatial Studies since 2020. His work includes processing of satellite imagery for segmentation and classification (e.g. archaeological sites and agriculture - crop types) with machine learning and preparation of a database for connecting the land parcel identification system (LPIS) with satellite imagery. His research interests are also hydrogeography, GIS, and climate change effect on the water cycle and water sources.
